This class is for both beginner and experienced hunters. It is for adults, as well as students 14 years of age and older. Topics that will be covered include hunter responsibility, safety, ethics, outdoor survival, laws, hunting techniques for small game, big game and waterfowl, wildlife identification and wildlife management. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the future of hunting and to share useful information with others. Advanced Hunter Education (AHE) is sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. To receive AHE certification, participants must fulfill all of the classroom requirements. AHE certification is recognized by all states and provinces that require hunter safety certification. Presenter: Jim Morcomb. Fee: $20. Meet at the Whitewater Valley Visitor Center (park office).Directions:

December 15, 2006 at 2:16 pm #27212I took this class 7-8 yrs ago through Community Education. Was a great informational deal. Met some good people, talked alot of issues and learned a few things. I recommend this course to everyone. I took it and the advanced bowhunters course too. I believe they should be mandatory for getting a license. The more educated we are the better Sportsman we become.
