JUDY AND I WERE CHECKING THE DEERSTANDS THIS WEEKEND 7 MILES WEST OF MilleLacs this weekend. we have 64 acres there with a cabin and garage we just had moved onto it, we call it (Russ&Judy’s Duck Inn) this year we have been able to see a cougar,bear and this weekend 5 wild turkeys-
those little guys can really put on foot miles fast just walking, we were impressed that they have been staying in the area and there still living with all the coyotes in that area – the cougar came out of the woods after mothers deep freezer went kaput and all of the meats and food had to be tossed out, the wind was blowing at 35+ and smell was bad to us but it must have smelled great to him as he loped out of the brush- they sure are pretty but kinda makes you want to look over your shoulder once in a while, we didnt get out to the beaver dam to check on the count of ducks and geese but could here them
