    Grump,
What problems did you have w/ your 835? I’ve got one for a utility piece, and like Farmboy said, I make it earn its keep. Rain mud sleet snow and thousands of rounds over the last five years (I bought it just as 3 1/2 became affordable) and it’s never missed a step. I’m sure that individual guns have individual problems though, in answer to the original question, I’ve never spoken to anyone who had a good experiece with a Mossberg Semi.

The empty shells would not eject, they would get stuck in the barrel. Sometimes if I would push on the ejecter tab while pumping it would come out, but most of the time I’d have to take the barrel off and push it out with a rod.

That got pretty annoying in the duck blind. I’m guessing it had something to with the bore size being wrong. This was an early model(first year)
And it never was very smooth cycling.

I have experience with 2 different autoloaders. My 20 ga 1100LT is about 15 years old. Great gun. I’m on my third season with Benneli M2 and it has operated flawlessly.

Yes it certainly is. It has been my most used gun. Just shot pheasants with it at game farm yesterday. I like to call it my grouse gun but I’m not afraid to use it on anything. Just a sweet machine. Never ever jams. Ever.

Stay away from the Browning Gold hunters.

Even if you find a good deal don’t buy it.

NO good…. no good… pain and heartache…. no good.

    Nate thats a funny video!

I laughed when he dumped a bucket of mud on the thing.

Now thats a duck hunting gun.

I’m always wiping mud, water and crud off of my shotgun.

    Thats my kind of shotgun.

I have a Browning Gold Fusion. Never has missed a beat and it has over a thousand rounds through it in a year and a half.

I have an 1100 that will be turning 40 years old next June. You cant haul the emptys that gun has kicked out in a pickup. Did replace a .19 cent keeper clip once and put a new bolt slide in several years ago but its never jammed other than when the slide broke. THis gun has kept me well fed over the years, but I should say I’m not a waterfowler but I use it I dont baby it by any means.
