what to hunt

i own over 200 hundred acres of woodland what shoulld i look for

Why would you only want to hunt one animal. I say hunt them all.

If your 200 acres is in the PDC area then I would say that hunting bear is pretty much out of the question. The PDC area has an abundance of turkey and deer and if the land is close to the river or has water on it then ducks and geese might be fun (deer and turkey sure eat better than waterfowl). Not many pheasants in the immediate PDC area but there are quite a few as close as 10 miles to the west in Iowa. The PDC area does have a fairly good population of grouse.

I answered deer just because of where you say your from. It is tough to tell you if there isn’t a location. If you have 200 acres and it is a wetland then…ducks..If it is all heavey timber then deer and birds….
