Way too shoot Mike. Im buying a new mathews from Tom gursky and when i get it i have to look at the setup. I used to shoot With hoyt brass small tip pins for a bigger view of my target. These pins are used by target shooters and have a fine point. This bow has a drop away rest and im going to try that, my old bow had a two finger pointed pin rest that also worked good. This year i’ll be able to make it to the woods.

This is my fist bow with a drop away and I am very impressed with it. Also like the quietness of the drop away, you never have to worry about anything wearing down and being noisy like I did on the prong style rests.

I realy like the .19 pins. You can acually put the pin inside your target instead of covering it up.

Good Point Mike, but what I found out that works best for me is at 20 yards I use a .40 pin and a .29 pin @ 30 yards and .19 pin @ 40 & 50 yards. For the exact reasons you stated. I found by decreasing the size of the pin at those yardages it makes the target/deer look the same on the pin

I also have the HHA single pin sight which is very bright but I don’t like adjusting it for different yardages when the hunt is on..its just another thing that can go wrong or create movement.
What do you guys with single sights do? Some people say to sight in at 25 yards and don’t move the pin.

The exact reason I do not have one of those sights. A very good point that I tried to stress in a earlier post.

I also run Trophy Ridge drop away and a Vital Gear 3 pin. I love my set up !!! Lip’s right, confidence is something you can’t put a price on. I spent about $300 more than I wanted on hang on’s, but when its all said and done, it was well spent.

Mike J, when you say you Robin Hooded, are talking knocking the nock off, or burying the arrow inside the shaft of the other ? This is quite a feat. Just curious.
