Haven’t heard anything new about them. Just that they have been seen.

I haven’t heard of the iowa stories just the ones east of spring valley in the forestville and good earth village area….I have seen the track so they are true one was spotted near the cabin where we hunt and have a few brews the DNR was contacted and said they know about them there is a male and female collared in the area with cubs as well.

I have seen pics, video, and castings of footprints from one in extreme eastern/cental Iowa dating from the present back 5 years. I do not figure it is hurting anything and neither must the DNR.

There was a guy at last years Whitetail Expo in Rochester that was carrying around a trail cam pick of a mountain lion from the Pine Island, MN area, he also had a trail cam pic of a fawn(from the same camera/spot) with a huge open wound on the top of its back between the shoulder blades that they figured was from the cat. Interesting pictures.

A buddy of mine went home to Maynard, Iowa (NE Ia) and spotted one in Volga Lake State Park while hunting second season.

I know there are a few in west central WI too. Very interesting to see what the populations will get to.
