    I did it
Slop, Blue, Mack, B.C., and buddy Wats, you won’t have to listen to me always saying “ALL I WANT TO DO IS SHOOT AN ELK” anymore

I shot this 4×5 in Colorado. Found him on my own. What a hunt. I will tell the rest of the story when I get my pics back

    So that’s where you’ve been!

Just wondering, what color of ringworm he came in on?

You are lucky a bass boat did not come through at the moment of truth and scare him away.

Great Elk though. That had to be a blast. Have a few of these

I’ve always wanted to try Elk hunting, but I suppose a trip would be pretty expensive, huh?

    Nice lookin’ Elk buddy!

Not as much as you would think B.C. The trip was done for $1900 not counting license. I believe that was around $480.
It could have been done cheaper on a tighter budget! The outfitter was $1300. Well worth it. Without a ride up on horse back you would never get as high up as we were.

Brian, it was a copper colored lead head with a white tip

Thanks for the comments guy’s. I will post good pics when they are back

I took him with a A Bolt .270 shooting 140gr Nosler Accubond, Federal Premium. The shot was 240 yards and I took out both lungs. The Bull only went 50 yards. Wait till you see the pics of where he ended up

Awesome Bret I was waiting for the post telling us you got one As pumped up as you were and all the physical training you did prior to the hunt has definitely paid off. That is a very respectable bull. What type of mount are you getting done, shoulder or European mount? Again, great job, and I too am jealous
