Camera has long periods of “please wait” flashing across the screen. It also won’t let me clear the internal memory… Apparently there are 111 images internally. Using the “C” button to clear them like normal isn’t working.

    Any ideas? Is it junk?

Any hard resets or anything like that which might be worth a shot??

    Thanks!

BTW, I might need a few cheap bear cameras… What are some lower end units that you guys have had good success with?? Not looking to go high end at this point… Even a place to find some cheap, working used cameras would be helpful…

I have had the same problems… I went online and updated the firmware for that camera and it worked for awhile then back to the same thing. all my cuddy’s are in my junk drawer. i’m sure the newer ones are better but i am very happy with my covert cameras, 4000-10,000 pics on 8 aa batteries, an mp6 IR will run about $90.00 and will take pics and videos

    Bob — Sounds good!!

Do you know where a guy could find one of those for $90? I did a brief search and they were $100 and up (+ shipping)… If anyone sees or hears of any cheap retailers or any big sales on low-cost cameras such as these, please let me know!! – Looking for a few more since my bear bait spots are starting to outnumber my working cameras… And I don’t want to put a dent in my bear bait budget by spending lots on cameras…

Anyone else have input on cameras?

    Thanks guys!!

Anyone use the Moultrie cameras? I saw some base model Moultrie’s (Game spy A-5) for around $65. Hard to ignore that price….

I haven’t been in the market for a trail camera for a few years, so forgive my questions/ignorance in regards to the models, features and pricing structures that are currently on the market.

As of right now, I’m only buying the Covert cameras. I got one of the “entry” level cameras last summer. It took several thousand pictures on two sets of batteries. They were amazing pics too. This year we added an Extreme Red to the mix. I’ll be doing the first chip pull next week and can report back.

There are a ton of great cameras on the market today and at much better prices than we paid a few short years ago.

Moultire cameras are just that. Cheap. You get what you pay for. Coverts have amazing battery life
