Whats your favorite climber an why? Im in the process of buying a new one. For trying a few locations I have never hunted. Im looking for something light an yet comfortable for a long sit.

Bang for your buck would have to be summit viper classic. Love mine! I really like the lone wolf stands as well but I just cant justify the price

Summit Viper for me. Quick, quiet, light, and easy to climb with. I take the seat off for archery. I just sit on the bar and face the tree. I do use the seat for rifle hunting. I have a hard time staying awake with the seat on. …. Yea, it’s that comfortable. Their warrenty is AWESOME. I had a weld crack and shot out an email just asking if I could purchase the top half of the stand. Within a day I recieved an email asking for my address so they could ship me a replacement. All they asked for was the broken piece. They even included the shipping label.

While hunting Camp Ripley last year I looked at hundreds of climbers sitting in the back of trucks. I would guess at least 70% were Summit.

I’ll throw you for a loop here!
I used to use climbers for the same purpose, exploring new ground. SE MN, in my area at least, is notorious for having a lot of mature trees, but not exactly the right trees for climbers. I used to have a summit viper, and while not a bad stand, I found that it really limited me to the straightest, most open trees around. I know you can get up high, etc., but I purchased a set of Lone Wolf Alpha hang on, and a set of sticks..have not looked back. I tie them together, and pack it into a new area. Pretty much the same weight, and lighter, than most climbers. Not as bulky, and a hell of a lot safer in my opinion. I can hang sticks and stand in pretty much the same time that it would take me to trim out a tree and climb up it with a climber. Plus, I always look for gnarly trees that provide lots of cover, something a climber does not allow for. Think about it, its another option!

I absolutely love my Summit viper, but do agree with BowhuntMN. I bought climbing sticks and a light hang on this year, but I will still use my Summit Viper on occasion
