There was a post about these cameras a while back and I can’t find it. I am wondering if there is any first hand experience shooting a bow with one of these strapped to your head? What can you see? Do you have to think about where it is pointed? Is there any shock or twitch that ruins the footage? How is it in low light conditions? Is 30 images per second fast or slow? Looking for fun footage, not trying to create a show. Thanks for any help

I would think you would be ok doing that or mounted to the bow itself. I had a couple hero2 cams but used them for motocross & riding my yamaha R6 and they where really fun to play around with. I had fun doing wheelie videos, hill climb, and jumps with mine. I think with slower movements while bow hunting they would make for some cool videos.

Couldn’t resist, and it was on sale . Took a few tries but finally got the angle right from the bill of my hat. Now I need to see if it’s possible to zoom in and slow the footage down on the computer. Thanks for the quick replies.

I’ve got one that I took some video with this summer out fishing and they are pretty slick. They have different quality settings from the lowest all the way to 1080.

Just to give an idea of outdoor filming instead of helmet cams, etc.

I’ve got a GoPro I’m playing around with. I haven’t tried editing any of the video yet, but so far I think it will be pretty cool mounted on my stabilizer.

I’m going to go practice some more with it mounted this weekend. Especially during low light with the Nockturnals. Can’t wait to see how it performs.

Any updates on the GoPro usage? My mom got dad a GoPro Hero3 White Edition for his B-day. As a hardcore pheasant hunter he is going to get the headband mount and see what kind of footage he can get of the dog pointing/flushing, him shooting, etc.

I had to return mine before last weekend so I don’t have any good footage to share.

If you can get mine off of the floor of the Milwaukke harbor, you can have it
