Unfortunately I’ve had some pretty poor luck with that brand. I’ve bought a couple at different times only to return them.
July 3, 2012 at 1:55 pm #121230I will never ever buy another wild game camera…ever. You will spend an extra $50 on batteries a year and I would bet it will not stay functioning for the rest of the year. Dlc covert has some great units at reasonable prices.
July 3, 2012 at 3:19 pm #121231Ok Im getting the idea wildview is junk, but I not seeing any recomendations for anything else for under $100.00
July 3, 2012 at 3:51 pm #121233Best camera I have ever seen for under $100 is Wildgame Innovations IR4.(not the same company as wildview-VERY COMMON misconception) I used to sell a LOT of trail cameras at the Hudson, WI Fleet Farm store (worked in sporting goods0, and recommended this camera to countless customers and never heard one negative thing about them. I run four of them personally -picture quality is good, excellent video, battery life is pretty darn good for the price. No they will not run a full year on a set of batteries, but they won’t die after three days if you get what I am saying. I usually get an honest 3-4 months out of a set of batteries, less if I am taking video. Pretty much any camera by that company is a good buy. They now have out an 8 megapixel camera for $100.00 right now. If I had $100.00 myself, I’d buy it. COmpared to Cuddeback cameras…trigger speed is not AS fast but you will rarely miss deer, and the video quality is right up there with the best of them Plus, you can buy two of them for the price of one expensive camera-which covers more area and is more valuable IMO.
Good luck! I would be interested to see what others have to say. I know DLC makes some good cameras, but I have never owned one
July 3, 2012 at 3:51 pm #121234I just got a DLC Covert Reveal and a new Primos Truth Cam 35 Ultra(won on Facebook).
I don’t have Primos in the field yet so I can’t comment on how the camera will perform. However, the setup is idiot proof. The price point is about where you are looking.
As for the DLC. We ran it for a month. It took over 2600 photos. The quality of the photos is very good. So far, my only concerns are it doesn’t appear to take many night pictures and many false triggers. The false triggers are most likely my fault for mounting it on a smallish tree and not clearing the grass as much as I should have.
We also run a couple Bushnell cameras and have good luck with them along with a Cuddeback Capture. Both of these cameras also perform very well. The Capture is flash only.
All the above cameras are around $120.00 on up. In my limited experience, once you get below $100.00 it is a crap shoot if the camera will perform. The good news is, what was once a $220.00+ camera is now selling for $120.00.
July 3, 2012 at 3:54 pm #121235Check out Moultries web site they have some good deals right now on 2 packs. They are not the top of the line but I have had good luck with mine, pretty good cams for the money.

July 3, 2012 at 3:58 pm #121236Here are a few photos taken with the IR4. I would post MANY more pictures, but these are the only ones that I have available on my work computer
July 3, 2012 at 5:13 pm #121237Spy point makes a great cam, very easy to use good on batteries, good trigger speed. They have a great line up ranging in price to cheap to high end.
July 3, 2012 at 5:27 pm #121239Most likely. However, the 2.0 is probably an older camera. I don’t recall the last time I saw one with that low of resolution. With an older camera you are going to have trigger speed issues and other typical things that the newer products have fixed.
July 3, 2012 at 5:28 pm #121240I have bought 2.0 megapixel cameras before, and in the daytime the picture quality is ok, but at night, it gets very grainy and hard to see-thats with infrared. If you go with a flash, 2.0 would be decent picture quality.
