Savage 220f bolt issue

    This is my first bolt action gun, and I have been cycling the bolt a few times. What just happened is I can no longer close the bolt all the way. a small button sitting vertically on the back of the bolt is preventing it from closing. This appears to be spring loaded and if it would turn 90 degrees I think the bolt would work.
    I have looked through the manual but it doesn’t really mention this.. I bet its a newbie issue..
    I am able to remove the bolt and reinstall it. with the same results..

    Did you pull the trigger? Sounds to me like firing pin. With a little effort will it go?? Obviously not too much
