Son has outgrown this gun. I say it is in very good shape. Very few shells shot through it. Anyone know what this is worth….looking to sell it but can’t find out a lot of what used guns are worth. Thanks Whata

Unfortunately, used shotguns are a dime a dozen. I’ve sold some and typically regret it afterward. My best guess would be to do a private sale, based off of the condition etc. Go on gunbroker, and find a used gun of the same brand and gauge, and base it off of that as well. Set your price about 50 dollars more than what you expect, and that way you get what you want out of it. Youth guns don’t sell for much typically.
Just to give you some realistic expectations- I have sold several mossberg 500 pumps to pawn shops for $100-140. Private sale netted me closer to $160-180. I would say you are definitely looking at less than $200. Hope that helps.

Forgot to mention, you can always replace the stock! Some manufacturers have adjustable stocks, etc.

There about $300 brand new so I’de say your looking at about half that for a used gun.

I know when I was a kid, at our firearms training, they had a list of guns for sale, private party. Most got snatched up pretty quick there….

How about giving it to a kid getting started in hunting whose parents can’t afford a gun for him? You could have the kid do some work around your house for you to pay for it. Just a thought.

You wouldn’t necessarily have to get rid of it…what I did with mine to extend its life ( I still use i, and I’m 6′ 3″ ) is I threw a limbsaver recoil pad on the stock. Not that I needed the protection from the recoil, but it made the length of pull long enough for me to make it comfortable. I will admit I do wish I had a full size 870 however…

Or turn it into a sawed-off, pistol grip

(OK, I am not being serious)
