I have a 2003 Polaris 600 Sportsman. It’s carbed. Went to start it last night for th first time in too long. Well, I flooded it. I noticed there was a lot of fuel draining out of a line that comes off the bottom of the carb.

I decided to pull the plugs and get new ones since I had no idea how long these have been in the machine. That is no small feat, but with minimum damage to my knuckles I got them out.

So my question. Is it normal for the excessive fuel to drain off the carb in that manner?

    Thanks!!

Got her running again after changing plugs. However, I discovered my battery is shot. So, new battery tonight from Fleet Farm.
