Anybody ever use one and are they worth the money for a rookie? I want to start scoring our past mounts and hopefully future bruisers. I started one this year with a soft tape and it was more difficult to be accurate than I pictured. Any experience, tips or advice is appreciated.

I have one that sits in the drawer. I guess I like it when I use it, but not sure it makes it any easier then a soft tape except for the main beam measurement.

For the main beam and circumfrences measurements, I usually use a real small wire cable. Once you have add up a few racks it is no big deal scoring them and kind of actually fun to be able to see all the measurements on paper, rahter than having the rackulator add it all up for ya. But that is just my $.02!

The main beam was my biggest struggle but I like the idea of seeing it on paper too? Thanks for the reply. Still gotta shoot one to measure

I’ve always used the soft tape with a little help from a string or wire on some racks.

Nothin funner than puttin all the measurements on the paper and adding em up!

Now I just need to find my own deer to score, which hasn’t been an easy task this season or last.
