Hey all…. you know this happens every spring…. does to me anyways you get the itch to spend a little money, that you have been ratholing all winter. What is(what you consider) to be your next BIG purchase ? Right now, I am happy with my aresenal (Guns & Bow) but after talking to people, I have come up with what is the worst part of bowhunting for me ??? Puttin’ a stand up in the dark and pullin’ in the dark…. for me anyways I am looking at getting a Wolf Climber. I always thought for $500, it should hang itself.. but as I do the math, putting up and pulling stands, if I do it 30 times a year, that’s only $17 a time, to have it be more conveinent. So let’s hear what some of you are cooking up

My next purchase is not a big one, but it will be Killer B Decoy most likely. I’m also thinking of another Hunting blind in my Arsenal.

Oh I forgot, I guess a new Mathews Z7 from Schaffers would be considered a big purchase. Not sure when I’m pulling that trigger, but the plan is sometime from now to August.

Well we all want all sorts of stuff and I’m finally pulling the trigger on a new river jet boat. I need something to hold me over until Sept. That being said I have jack left for pretty much anything including gas.

Told the wife I would get her a nice camcorder for Mother’s day to video our daughter and I’d test it out during turkey season.

Last year I did the same thing. I went down to our local sporting goods chain and asked the manager what was his bottom line on leftover 17ft ladder stands. The best he would do is $49.99. I said I’d take ten. His jaw dropped. Needless to say he had to get 7 of them from his chains inventory wharehouse. I set them all out last summer in areas that allways are good. Boy was that nice last fall for me and even the grandkids to just walk out and jump into a stand in the morning. Should of did that years ago.

Well………i got plenty of things on my mind . Last summer it was between a new bow or an ar-15 for yote hunting. Ended up with a Mathews DXT . This year either a nice 243 for yote hunting or the ar-15 . Then a dozen or two more fullbody goose decoys.

Food plot seed and fertilizer…. about 20 acres worth of it. Thats about all my grad student budget can cut for a while P.S. if any one owns a fertilizer plant and wants to make some charitable donations

Excellent post Glen! I’m thinking about taking the plunge this fall and buying my first Scent Blocker suit! Not 100% sure yet but seriously thinking about it!

I just bought a new z7 from schaffers about two weeks ago but now I have to go get a new block. The pesky thing keeps burying my fletchings in the middle of my old one.

My goal was to help build the Taj for the old man to hunt out of this summer, but suddenly summer feels like it’s here and we haven’t even gotten a design done.

I’m also looking for old telephone poles to bury at my dads to hang ladder stands on. The trees are all just to young to hang stands at this point.

I also want a decoy before fall.
