Looking at buying a new rangefinder. Any recommendations? I will be using it 99% of the time bow and gun hunting in WI. Maybe in the future I will be able to draw a tag out west, but for the most part it will be for the driftless area of WI. Not looking to spend a whole lotta cash on one if need be. I know you get what you pay for….Thanks in advance.

I have o leopold RX-II, it came as a packag with a set of binos. its a good one cheaper, does have trouble picking thingsup all the time but works for my bow hunts. it has the ARC feature or what ever you want to call it also.

I looked at the 800 when I got my 550. The only difference appeared to be it ranged to 800 yards instead of 550 and the cost. I thought about it and decided that I probably could not even see 800 yards and would not need to range anything that far even if I could. It worked as well as the 550 but could not justify the additional cost. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything Nikon makes.

I’m a Nikon Fan also, good glass for the Money. I would also suggest the Nikon 550 or Rifle Hunter depending on your need for Angle Compensation..

Agree with the Nikon comments, I own a 550. Works great everytime, and ranges through the screen-mesh of a covert blind. That’s something that I’m pretty sure no other mfrs. lazer can do.

Thanks a lot for the comments. I will be checking out the Nikon’s and the Bushnell line and see what I like.

Well I purchased the Bushnell rangefinder/bino combo pack. It had the bushnell 1000 w/arc along with 10×42 waterproof bino’s. I hope this will be good enough for elk, antelope some day. Anyone else purchase this combo unit or have experience with it. Seemed to be a really good deal for what I was looking for.
