Any Cannon GL owners here?

Im looking at buying a Cannon GL1 and wanted to hear peoples feedback.

I’ve ran a GL1, GL2, XL1s and XHA1. Depends on what you’re looking to do with the footage. If its for home use and messing around the GL1 is a fine camera. If you are looking for more options and better color stepping up to the GL2 would be a wise choice. GL2’s are great little cameras, I own and still use one. If you want something with HD capabilities the XHA1 will give you the most bang for you buck, its a fantastic camera. Let me know, might be able to find you a used one if you’d like.

I am just wanting to use it mainly for when im out scouting. How does the zoom compare to a 20x60x82 spotting scope?

It’s got a 20x zoom but still don’t think it’ll be as good as a spotting scope. Starts to get grainy pushed all the way in especially in low light.

I used the GL2 before upgrading. For the price a great camera, that tooks nice video. Check out huntingfootage.com, or Kisky’s Whitetai Freaks, for good deals on used camearas. Good luck,
