Hummingbird Lake Winnipeg "Map"

Hey, heading to Lake Winnipeg in late March again this year.

Fishing buddy that’s going with me for the first time has H-bird helix GPS (I have Lowrance) and he wants to get the Lake Winnipeg map from Hummingbird.

Here’s my question: Is the Hummingbird “map” an actual SD or micro-SD card or is it JUST a download from H-bird??

That’s what I was thinking too, but wasn’t sure and H-bird CS hasn’t answered yet.

Only available in a download. Im assuming its because its just the south bay, and they will be doing more surveying and add onto it before they build an actual retail chip. Just download it onto a Micro in an adaptor, then youll have it for whatever Helix you need it in.

Have you compared the Humminbird map to the Anglers edge? If so are there any significant differences?

Have you compared the Humminbird map to the Anglers edge? If so are there any significant differences?

Data is very similar, however it’s easier to decipher with the AEM maps. You have to do the colour overlay thing with the bird map. But the data is very close.
