Hummingbird Helix 9 SI

    Hello –

    I just purchased a Hummingbird Helix 9 SI. I will mainly fish on a small lake in MN but at times hopefully use it for other local lakes. Which lake chip is better – Navionics or Lake Master?

    I have had both and I like lake master much better.

    I’m not sure how a person could tell without looking at the lakes you plan on fishing. Each company excels on certain smaller lakes or as in Mille Lacs, one is ahead of the other depending on where you’re looking.

    Brian, Mississippi River pool 5,6,7 which chip would you get?

    For the river they are pretty equal being the river changes a little every year neither are very good when it comes to the back waters. You will get a outline somewhat but no depths. That being said with the Hbirds I would definitely go with the Lake Master for depth highlight
