What are everyone’s thoughts on the new Helix 9,10, and 12 series. Looks like they are finally phasing out the legacy models ie the 800,900,and 1100 series. They are ethernet networking capable and ipilot link compatible along with coming preloaded with Autochart live which looks like a great feature. Look like some great units to me. I see cabelas already has the helix 9 SI with GPS for 999.99 which isn’t bad at all in my eyes.

Autochart live preloaded is a huge selling point. I fish the river a lot and would love to use it to see how the river changes from year to year. Also fish northern mn and canada in areas that aren’t charted very well so that would be a huge draw for me. But that being said glad I got rid of my 900s this year and went to lowrance. For the price, no other manufacturer can beat the helix package. Curious if the price will go up though? Or what is the cause for the mark down compared to the legacy series?

price drops reflect competitors coming out with better products since Humminbird enjoyed their SI dominance…just shows how much they’ve been marking up their products all those years…I’m happy with my 999 purchase this past spring, it should work just fine until the new Garmin technology become affordable…
