Humminbird website and Google Chrome

I purchased the Helix Ice 7 G3 and I’ve registered it on the Hummingbird site but it doesn’t seem to have taken. I filled out the form and it seemed to have gone through properly. According to what I’ve read once I log into my account and there should be a tab “My Humminbird’ that I click on to show all my devices that I’ve registered. I don’t even see the tab for this once I log into my account. I’m wondering if Humminbird and Google Chrome do not play well together.

I also purchased the Lakemaster V8 chip for the Bird. I’ve downloaded the Fishsmart Chart Select app on my phone. From what I gather I should be able to view the maps on my phone without purchasing them again being as how I’ve already bought the Minnesota bundled chip. But there is no way to register a Lakemaster chip. How does my phone app know I have already purchased the maps if you can’t register the map chip? All very confusing. I plan on calling Humminbird customer support but if anyone here has any answers and can save me a half hour or more hold time on the phone that would be great!

Got my answers from Humminbird customer support. First off I wasn’t on hold at all. The whole call didn’t last five minutes. Quite surprised. Anyhow the answer to my first question is you no longer see the products you register they are only viewed on the back end by Humminbird. The tab “My Himminbird” no longer exists. And Humminbird website plays very well with Chrome according to the gal I spoke with.

Next if you bought the Lake Master chip for your Bird like I did the phone app does you no good. You can’t export from the Bird to the phone you can only import to the Bird from the phone. I thought with bluetooth capability you might be able to mirror to your phone. Had I known this I may not have purchased the chip and just purchased the lakes I needed as I went along.
    So it goes.
