Humminbird transducer mounting question

Hi all. I just installed a Humminbird hd si transducer exactly as instructions demonstrated. It looks correct but there is a very small amount of movement to it when I push on it. Maybe this is normal as I do not see any other means to tighten the unit. It is for a 899 si hd and the transducer is a 800 hertz that slides up into a metal mount bracket. Any insights would be appreciated.

Normal, for a little flip flop up and down usually nothing side to side.

There should be teeth on the transducer that fit into a 2 sided shim that then fits into the teeth on a shim in the metal bracket.

    Not on the Hbirds.

    Strange, my Helix does.

Thanks for feedback. No shims came with install materials. Slight wiggle is up and down not side to side…

Make sure you level it correctly. YouTube videos available. Good luck. I hope you can check it out soon. I am in Illinois and just about all boating shut down.

That is as none of my Helix 12`s SI Gen 1 or Gen 3 have ratchets.

The compact ducer has teeth, the HDSI does not.

Thanks for responses. I got it firmed up so it doesn’t move at all and even got my rig out yesterday for a test run. The side imaging seems good to me and definitely has more definition than the old compact 455 transducer. But, the hd down imaging view is not as good definition or clarity. In fact, the screen display on the down image view is just really faint and background color and sensitivity adjustments didn’t help. I am guessing it has to do with the level or trim on the transducer not being perfect? Yet, the SI seems good. Any thoughts?
At least the bite wasn’t affected by my less-than-perfect display )

    Thanks for the tech help,
