I’ve searched as many previous posts and threads as I could find because I hate repeat questions, too. I think I’ve narrowed it down to this mount. Is this the best one, or has anyone had any experience, with mounting their Helix 7 to the ATV using this mount? Thanks.

Looks good. If you never want it to move get a bigger size.

that will work fine, you’ll just need the handle bar under-mount…

Good to know. Is this what you’re referring to? In the 1.5″ diameter?

Does anyone have any experience powering it off of a battery separate from the ATV’s? As in size?

    yes, that’s the mount.

Be careful if directly wiring it to your starting battery, if you drain that, you’ll likely be pushing your ATV back to shore (unless it’s older and had a backup pull starter)

Get a Dakota Lithium to run it off of…Humminbird powercords are cheap…

I run a simple Lowrance Elite-4 off my Grizzly for the Mapping

I use a separate 9 Amp Battery (Vexilar model V-100) to power mine and run it inside my front Rhino box with alligator clips. I use a CLAM battery mount inside the box. Once fishing I unclip battery so there’s no drawing on that battery when not in use.

I use my boat graph and Ram mount so they get dual seasonal use. Waypoints stay with me without the transfer to handhelds and help me fine tune spots from season to season.

PM me if you plan to order from RAM mount directly and I can help you out a little.
