Wondering if anyone is having issues with the digital depth reading in the center of the screen. This past year i was up at lake of the woods fishing in 24 feet of water. The center depth would go crazy on me going up to 55 60 feet and then come back down to the depth i was fishing at. This would happen on a average of 1 per minute. Sometimes 3 times in like 15 seconds. My battery is fully charged and transducer is level. Sent to humminbird and they cannot find anything wrong. Any help would be great.

How high was the gain set? If you are overpowering it, it might get a double reading.

Gain was anywhere from3 or 4 up to the highest. It did not matter where it was set.

Are you running it in Auto? I’be had issues like yours (not as severe) when in Auto depth. Something to do with the way the unit has to refresh.

Yes i was fishing in auto. I was told you would fish in that mode 90% of the time. What did you do to fix the problem.

Try running it in the 1 or 2 depth setting (depending on depth of course). When ice fishing with mine, that seems to resolve the hiccups.
