To use the transducer listed above you have to turn off your chirp. The chirp model head unit work better with “XI 9 1521 – Dual Spectrum ICE Transducer” with chirp on.
If I were to buy a new unit for a dual purpose I would get the helix 7 chirp series. It has the screens specifically for ice fishing on its view list. The Mega units don’t offer those screens at this time.
