Humminbird 958CX Depth Contour Lines Problem

    I have a 958CX and the navionics plus chip. I can see depth contour lines on lakes and saltwater, but only the lakes have a number for the depth marking those contour lines. What do I need to do to make it show on saltwater? Is this a tide issue? My friend with a lowrance elite5 gets the depths on these contour lines.
