Humminbird 5 port hub location

I have a 1775 pro guide tiller and am trying to figure out the best spot to mount the 5 port Ethernet hub. Has anyone found a good spot?

I run a tiller and put it in my “life jacket” compartment on the front deck. Those ethernet cords are spendy the longer they get, so I figured put it closest to the most devices I have – trolling motor and helix up front. So two 10′ cords for those and a 15′ cord for the helix at the tiller. Would have needed two 15’s if I mounted it in back. I did have to run 14 or 16 gauge wire up to power it.

Made sense to me at the time and seems to work fine.
