At the end of a day of fishing and your hub is all iced and hard to get back in its bag can be frustrating. I found using 2 cam buckle straps makes it really easy and fits into the bag very well. Just loop em around your collapsed shelter and cinch them tight. fastest easiest way I’ve found.

My Otter Hub came with one. waytogo

Appears Otter made the storage/carry bag extra large. Never had a problem repacking.

My Shappell WideHouse 5500 goes back in the bag no problem. Doesn’t matter how iced up it is. If I have to ratchet strap my hub so it fits in the bag, it needs to come with a better bag. I mean, I’m glad there’s a solution for these issues but for the cost of the strap they could have just provided a more adequate bag.

My old eskimo was impossible to get back in the bag. Especially with prezzing fingers and 10 Busch lights down the hatch. I used to have to use a cinch strap as well.
Thought I was the only one who new that trick.
Now I fish in a otter sled house

I have an Eskimo 949i and I haven’t ever had a problem getting it back into the bag. Either way, I always just wrap around the center with bungies before bagging it. Helps a little.

I thought this was going to be a tip that the Otter Hubs the INSIDE is silver and the mesh netting and window covers are also on the INSIDE so you don’t set it up inside out.
Anyone who saw the pic of the one someone setup inside out like a week ago will get it. LOL For the life of me I don’t even know how they could do that.

Yes, it is real. It was posted on a FB ice fishing group by Darren Troseth (DTRO). Pretty sure he is the one who took the photo.

I once traded a custom holster for a Clam hub tent (not a fishing shack but same concept) with a guy that worked at Clam. All excited when I popped that thing up in my yard and I’m all “what’s wrong with this thing?” It was completely inside out just like this shack.

I’m guessing when you buy one of these new, whether it’s s fishing hub or a tent, they come preassembled? If so it had to have been assembled wrong by someone at the plant (which is probably how he ended up with it for nothing I assume) because for me to correct it would have required me completely dissembling it which probably would have taken at least a couple of hours. Not worth it. The wind thankfully put me out of my misery a short time later when it came up suddenly and snapped poles and ripped it up, no doubt made easier because of improper setup.
