So I just recently moved up to the cities from Iowa and because of the apartment life I had to leave my flip over hut stored at my dad so I picked up a clam big foot xl2000 and the ice anchors OBVIOUSLY not that easy to screw in by hand and i don’t have a drill for the attachment they make was wondering if anyone has some in put on some better or easier to use anchors was looking at the otter and eskimo

I have used both the Clam & Eskimo anchors….Eskimo anchors IMO are far superior in how fast they go into the ice and ease of doing so by hand.

I have watched my nephew screw in his eskimo anchors and it didn’t look to difficult

As stated, the Eskimo anchors screw in very easy you might want to try them

I have the Eskimo and Otter anchors. They are very similar and both start very well. If you are using the drill attachment you have to use a little finnese otherwise you can bend the tips.

I have a Bigfoot 4000 and have used it for 4 years now and have never used a screw in type anchor once. I use Digger Ice Angels. I use small ratchet straps as outrigger ropes attached to the outside hub loops and run them at about 45 degrees to the Ice Angels. And then cinch down both sides pulling against each other. Easy peasy.
