How will your VOTE help or hurt your Sport?

Just a few non-partisan questions and comments:

Have you spoke or written/snail mail or email to your choices in this election year?

Have you asked them how they will vote on issues concerning Outdoor Sports you care about?

Will they vote to change the status and allow hunting of Wolves?

Will they change A.I.S. Laws and force you to jump threw more hoops before or after fishing/hunting a lake? Will they continue to allow the MnDNR to make “Emergency Closing of Accesses” after A.I.S. is discovered limiting the Public Access to State Waters?

Will they change status and really look at Treaties with the Tribes to make changes so we all play by the same rules?

I urge everyone to come up with a few questions of their own and contact their choices for Public Office to ask and find the answers if they’ll support you?

They want to talk with you and want your support, they are just men and women hopefully running to be your servant and provide laws and regulations that will be for the greatest good for all Minnesotan’s!

Then, get out and go enjoy the outdoors sports we love!

As many know, I can get wound up about and am active politically having attended my Precinct Caucus and been a Delegate to our County Convention every year since I moved to Chaska in 1993, thus my first Caucus in 1994.

Here is my take and disgust with our Political System from personal experience :

In Dec 2014 thru May 2015 when I led the Facebook group that I created to “Repeal 86B.13” I saw the cluster disaster right before me as I researched the multiple Bills for and against the Repeal.
In the Minnesota House and Senate, I saw 3 identical Bills to Repeal except with different Authors & Sponsors, some of whom signed more than one.

On the flip side where we get the misleading campaign advertising the side against also had 3 virtually identical Bill’s again with some of the same Authors & Sponsors signing more than one of them, but interestingly a few of the same House & Senate members signing to be for the Repeal also signed on Against the Repeal.

Thus, we have with these members telling us they supported what we wanted, but also the opposing side that were supported too.

In the end none it mattered as new language (which I suggested) was inserted into the Omnibus Bill and overwhelming support came from both sides (Yes, Both Democrats & Republicans support this change) that had been for and those against the Repeal action. Note, the Omnibus Bill was well over 100 pages of legal legislative language that contained a multitude of Game & Fish items, some of which standing alone we would not support, but to get the few other good items passed. This is how the bad law of “Statute 86B.13” got passed in the first place in 2012!

In following other Bill’s I found the same thing. Thus, when they tell you they supported your side, asked what was finally voted upon and how the voted upon that action?

When I see the ads saying Representative “X” didn’t support Veterans Medical Care, there is likely a reason you and I would agree with them as it usually contained language via amendment that we would strongly oppose and had weak support, but got added and killed it.

To close I said the whole things is totally screwed up to confuse us and make us think there are in there to be a Servant of us, when they really only serve themselves. Thus, how we end up we common (medium income) people going into politics and a few years later, they are Millionaire’s!

It would do us good to get rid of the Omnibus Bills so we could easily see what our elected officials are truly supporting.

This stuff makes me sick. It is like the clean water act bill that tacked on that some of the money will go to the fine arts. I wish when they would write these up they wouldn’t keep adding in stuff that has nothing to do with what the bill is trying to do.
