I have asked this question elsewhere, but have not found anyone that has done this, so am reaching out here. I would like to view a quickdraw map on my home computer of a lake I mapped, has anyone found a workaround to be able to do this? I am using a 93UHD and have the map copied on a card. Thank you for any thoughts.

Thank you for that information. Is there a way of of uploading to the Quickdraw community without sharing the information?

    Quickdraw work around.
This is my work around to look at quickdraw maps.
    * Start sonar and go into simulator mode.
    * Go to the lake you want to view, (for me this is the size to use) zoom to about 200 ft.
    * Start by going to a corner of the lake (starting point), take screen shots of the entire lake with slight overlapping
    shots.
    * They will be saved on the same micro SD as the quickdraw contours in a folder labeled “scrn”
    * Copy this SD to your computer. Open the “scrn” folder and print the pictures from that folder on your printer.
(Note. print all the screen shots at the same time and the contours will match, if you print some at another time
the contours may not match well.)
    * I then cut and paste the pages together matching the contours. I now have a paper map that’s about 24 to 30″.

    Hope this helps.

If you don’t want a paper map you can just view the screen shots individually from the folder

The lake I have mapped is a little over 3 miles long, would you still suggest zooming to around 200′?

My original goal was to make a paper map of the lake and laminate it, you have given me hope it may still be possible. Thank you for that information, I am closing down the cabin later this week, will give it a try when I get the Garmin back home.

One lake I mapped is 1.8 miles long. At 200 I have 5 pgs glued together, total
25″ long. I chose 200 to show the very sharp breaks, I just looked at 300, some of the tight breaks are hard to define for tiny changes. If you do 300 or 500 you could also print special areas at 200 to see the details. I have some spots for ice fishing that I did screen shots at 80 so I can hand print notes on the map.

Putting all that together will probably be an adventure, but something to do in the “tween” season. Thank you again for all the great information.

It really doesn’t take that long, probably 1.5 to 2 hrs total. Screen shots, sd card into cpu, print out pages, cut edges so you can match contour lines, glue in place, trim off excess paper, you are ready for next page. Lamination is good idea, now to find someplace with a large laminator.
