How to remove spider poop from white fiberglass?

I didn’t know how much a spider could poop until I bought a white boat.
I don’t need to look for webs, I just look for the dark spots and right above them are the spiders.

I don’t want to use an abrasive pad and I’ve tried Dawn, window cleaner and armor all with a soft sponge…rubbed until I almost went blind. shock

Just thinking I should try WD-40? Anyone have experience with this?

The Clorox wipes with bleach may do it if you can find them that is. I’ve used them for cleaning a lot of things besides just wiping down surfaces for disenfecting.

Maybe a Mr Clean magic eraser pad. Those things clean up stuff you wouldn’t think they could touch.

FB has been advertising the Boat Eraser pads. The videos look good and claims that it is much less abrasive than the Mr. Clean pads.

When I get white rubber dock rash on my boat Goo Gone is the only thing that I’ve found that takes it off easily without a lot of elbow grease.

    Toilet bowl cleaner…MEant for cleaning…Poop.

    Kill the spiders. devil

Best answer for future poop. I’ve been working on that with some spider killers (meant to be used around waters). I have 1/3 less webs, but the ones that are left seem to have the runs.

I’ll try some of the suggestions above and see what I come up with.
    Thanks!

I have heard spider poo has the same enzymes they use to kill/dissolve their prey, and will literally etch the surface it lands on. If thats the case for you it may require a good buffing compound and some elbow grease. Then re-wax.
I’d try an fiberglass cleaner and toothbrush first.

I go through cases of it. Good stuff! I just cleaned spider crap off of a window jam that is lacquer. It had been on there for way too long

I would think having so many spiders would help with killing other bugs on your boat. Why can’t you just run it through a car wash and spray it down.

LOL! Mike I could go so many ways with that!

McLoud- it didn’t come with a trailer.

40′ and when the mayflies hatch every spider web that I missed is full…and just below the web is a pile of poo that doesn’t want to come off.

I’ll be taking the FW down to Wabasha this weekend for an evening out at Slippery’s. Great time to use some of the suggestions above. )

What are the spiders pooping on? Fiberglass, wood, leather, vinyl…

Fiberglass, starbrite hull cleaner. It takes everything off.
    Vinyl, maybe alcohol.

I’ll have to check this weekend. I think I tried that but not sure.

Gumout carburetor cleaner. I once took the bluing off a shotgun when I used it instead of gun scrubber or brake parts cleaner. Should not damage the finish on a boat as long as you wipe it off shortly after applying it. Also if it is in fact an enzyme, you could try Lime Away – does wonders on that sort of stuff.

Hopefully I won’t have to buy $200 worth of cleaners to find one that works. LOL!

Try a a couple dryer sheets; wet the poop, wet the sheet. It works really well for the stuck and dried bugs on the front of my truck. Or, a 50/50 mix of cheap liquid fabric softener and water, in a spray bottle.
