How to Read Fuel Level on Helix

We got a new boat and the dashboard dials were replaced with a Helix 7 with an NMEA 2000 network that shows RPMs, temp, etc. I can read fuel use, but cannot see fuel level. Is there a way to see that? If so what do I need?

    Thanks!

You’ll need a NMEA 2000 network set up (if you don’t already). It’s easy to install yourself.

Then you’ll need a NMEA 2000 compatible fuel level sensor installed and calibrated (something you could probably do yourself as well)

Thanks B-Man. The old fuel sensor has got to still be in it, right? So would it just need to be connected to the NMEA with an adaptor?

Yes, you can buy an adapter, but it has to be a resistor type sensor (not a float at least I believe), or replace the original with a new style unit that is all on one.
