I am ordering a Ranger Reata 1850 with Helix 10’s and I am looking for ideas and pictures on how to mount them. I am thinking flush mounting in the bow but I think I need ideas on how/where to mount in the console.
Anyone?
I don’t have a reata but from my experience I would not flush mount at the bow, makes it difficult to view at certain angles.
When I ordered my Ranger I had my 10 inch Lowrance mounted flush in the console and had them run the wires to the bow, but I mounted the Locator on a Ram mount from the floor on the starboard side of the boat myself. I sat in the chair and decided where it would be easiest to read and not in the way. When the sun shines on it I can move it up or down or sideways to get rid of the glare. When traveling a long distance with the cover on, I can remove the locator.
