How to mount 2 helix transducers on the transom without interference

Bought a 16 foot lund tiller and had a helix 7 msi installed along with a high speed transducer. Both transducers are mounted on a board to left of motor. High speed ducer on left end of board msi ducer on right end. Question is i bought a helix 10 msi and figured i would just use the 7 for gps. Would be nice though to be able to use the 7 for standard sonar too. Can i make these transducers work without dealing with interference? If so how would I have to mount them? I know the 10 would have to be the lowest ducer but how close can these be to each other? There is room on the board between the original two. But will that work? Anyone that is a pro at setting these up, some advice would be very much appreciated. Might just have to pay a dealership to set them up. Thanks in advance for any advice

Are you going to network the graphs?

plug the high speed directly into the 7 and it will only do 2D sonar if you select the 2d transducer in the setup menu. . Remove the SI transducer of the 7 and mount the ten mega. Run the 7 on 200 kHz for 2d. Run the ten on 83, since it will be used on slower speeds. Run the mega transducer for 83 2d, DI, And SI.

What does the 83 stand for reddog? So I would be able to run the 10 on any frequency I want other than 200khz, and the 7 would be capable of chirp? Did I understand all that right?

Is the 7 a chirp model?

non chirp 2D frequencies are 83, 200, or both 83/200.

200 is the narrower of the two, and would typically be used for high speed.

83 is wider, but has more “dead zone”

If both models are chirpable, set them up on different chirp ranges and they wont talk to each other. You will need to experiment with whats going to perform best.

Yes it is a chirp model. Everything you suggested makes perfect sense. Think I will give it a try and see. You must be pretty experienced with these units. Thank you for the info. It is much appreciated
