How does a person go about getting Minnesota plat map Info. Or any other map Info. that will tell you the owner of land in Minnesota. I’ve did a online search and had no luck. I remember seeing Plat maps for various area in Minnesota, but not sure if these are still updated and published.

The plat maps are distributed by county. Washington county has theirs online.

    Here’s the link:

If you zoom in, parcel boundaries will appear and you can click to show who owns them.

Rockford Map Publishers have been printing (remember printing?) county plat books for as long as I can remember: http://www.rockfordmap.com

Nowadays a lot of counties have online tax parcel maps. Here is an example, Bayfield County, WI: http://maps.bayfieldcounty.org/BayfieldFlexViewer/
They are a little tricky to navigate, but typically you can point to a parcel of land on a map and bring up the owner of record, the transfer document, even their tax bill. Go to the website of the county you’re interested in, search for the Land Records office, or tax parcel map; sometimes you can also find it by searching “arcgis” or “esri”.

If you are looking at a specific property you may be able to get paper plat maps from the county or a local Realtor. If you want maps for your phone or tablet that cover the entire state, then follow Randy’s link or search for the “onX maps Hunt” app on your phone. There is an annual fee after the trial period and it is worth every penny imo. You can select target areas to save for offline use if you are hunting in an area with no cell coverage, the gps in your phone will show you where you are on these offline maps whether you have signal or not! The layers are easy to customize; so you can show public hunting highlight areas, deer zone lines, private land boundaries/ownership and select from a dozen or so different topographical/google earth type/ roads and trails/other combinations of base maps.
