How to fill the front live well, 2016 1875 Impact.

I bought a used 2016 impact that has a live well up front and one in back. There is only one live well switch at the console and it does fill up the live well in the back. The front live well does nothing. Is there a shut off valve or split somewhere to get the front one to fill up? Or is there a second pump for the front one that needs troubleshooting?

    – Thank you in advance for any advice!

Look for inside the front livewell for a white nozzle. Simply unscrew it 1-2 turns to open it up. I’m assuming it’s like my 2018 and many other models.

You can turn off and on either livewell at your leisure simply by opening and closing those valves inside the livewell. They are near the top of the livewell and appear to be made of PVC.

Thank you very much for that advice. That makes complete sense and I bet that will do the trick. I will give that a shot next time I am in the water.

How do you like the boat otherwise?

I’ll add one quick note that I found helpful- if you want to use either livewell as dry storage, simply shutting off the valve won’t keep it all the way dry. Water can still flow in through the overflow, so when I’m using my front well as dry storage I plug the drain, shut off the valve, and plug the overflow drain (which exits he starboard side of my 2018 impact). This ensures that the well stays completely dry.
