How to access lakes in general?

Ok guys how do you guys access big lakes in general? By useing? resort access,do you need to pay for a daily pass? I assume public access is free..

My experience is resorts charge you to use their plowed roads and I believe you play daily. Public access is a crap shoot landings are not usually plowed and in rough condition.

We gladly pay resorts for plowed access and safe roads. They work there a#@ off making sure we can get on and off the lake and it is well worth it, the resort also will offer advise and sometimes bait and a road map. It’s usually 10-15 per day.

Big lakes, yup I will pay for access. In summer time I will use a resort ramp if they provide prevention against thief’s.

All depends on where I want to fish on the lake, if a public access is usable and closest I’ll use that. If a resort is closest I have no problem paying them.
