How si la shore fishing

Be down there this weekend, want to bring couple rods with, seeking advice for best bet to catch fish. Soak some crawlers? Drum, cats around area?

Fish off the sand beach towards dark.

Either side of the beach used for swimming will hold some fish. Ya never know what you’ll catch. Could be anything.
Throw out a sinker, hook and bait and let it sit.
Crawlers, dough balls, minnows, whatever.

I bet the hobos that live down there know. Only problem is, they’re not on the internet. You’ll have to go down and do a scouting mission in person.

I’ve never caught much by the beach area, maybe a drum or two? Always out of the boat tho. I know the closer you get to the point, it drops off really sharp and quick. Usually fish suspended right off the break but probably small whitebass or drum?
