How often do you get the air ducts cleaned

Never. We usually have two and sometimes 3 dogs in the house and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Lived in the same house over 25 years. Just replaced the furnace 3 years ago and it was 29 years old (original to the house).

New furnace is much more energy efficient. Definitely a stronger blower on the new unit. Had to change the filter more often when we first started it up (month or two). Both the sales rep and the installers said “don’t bother when I asked about duct cleaning.

Use the base nonwoven type filter. Change the filter about every 2-3 months in the “off-season”. Change every month December, January, February, July and August.

If you vacuum your house regularly (including hard floors) and dust on occasion you keep most of the particulates from ever reaching your intakes.

My lady friend is a clean freak. I think I hear the vacuum 10 times a day

I would think it would be worth it if you did any remolding. I will clean my ducks out when I get done with all the mud work. The rock dust gets everywhere.

I would tend to think that based on how dirty your air filter gets when you change it might be an indicator if you’re ducts need to be cleaned out.

Thanks for the reminder. Heading down stairs now!

I just had mine done a few weeks ago. Think there was more crayons and beads and other kids crap in there than anything else. A few were full of cobwebs and dust.
