Where/which DNR sink hole would the $ it go into?
Why should I have to pay more than the current license?
Seems this will give undue advantage to the more wealthy fisherman in our society?
Public resource should have equal access not based on economics IMHO.
Either the resource can handle a two line reg for all or stick to one line. IMHO
Don’t you think the rising costs of boats and gear has already done this? If you can’t afford a boat and are stuck to shore fishing I think its much more difficult to catch your limit than someone cruising around the lake in a $50K boat with an additional $10K in gear.
Undue advantage to the more wealthy fishermen? It’s recreational fishing, a leisure activity, not an essential part of surviving. The only thing those wealthy fishermen may reap from their abilities to afford the “undue advantage” of a 2nd line is the possibility of catching more fish sooner so they can hold their fish with arms fully extended for pictures to post online to brag to their “friends”.
In regards to the original topic, I couldn’t care less if MN allowed multiple lines or not since I’ve never fished anywhere else open water that allows multiple lines. If there was an option to pay for a 2nd line, I suppose anything under $15 that I’d probably get one. I wouldn’t mind tossing out a 2nd line for sturg or having a bobber out while casting for bass.
