Another inch in the garden rain gauge in Richfield. It only rained for 40 minutes.
August 26, 2021 at 9:35 pm #2057002Just a few drops here in Cloquet today. Grilled steaks for dinner and the deck was barely wet😩
We really need about 2 weeks straight of good soakers….August 27, 2021 at 7:37 am #2057017I have received over 5 inches of rain just this week so far. That’s more rain than the entire rest of the summer combined.
stevenoakPosts: 1719August 27, 2021 at 8:34 am #2057030NOAA is predicting pool 3 up a foot, to up 3 foot on 13-14 in the next 5 or 6 days. Hopefully drop the temp a few degrees in the process. Sure it will also get the grass flowing.
August 27, 2021 at 8:37 am #2057033No rain up here. We do have a easterly wind this morning so the fire smoke is pretty thick.
August 27, 2021 at 8:45 am #2057034From last week friday until last night I was at 4.5″. Didnt check this morning before i left but assuming its up quite a bit.
August 27, 2021 at 9:13 am #2057042yesterdays rain total when i looked last night was 1 and 2/10ths. not sure what we got overnight yet!!!!
and the only place i see puddles are on the street!!!!!
August 27, 2021 at 10:30 am #2057058From last Friday to this morning I have gotten 3.1 inches in Minnetonka. I have the 2nd lowest backyard in the neighborhood and it is not even hinting at being squishy.
ThunderLund78Posts: 2668August 27, 2021 at 2:21 pm #2057130Yeah, the dry ground is really soaking it up. On a normal year we usually get a pretty good crop of nightcrawlers on our driveway/sidewalk after a good rain. Even after the 5+ inches of rain in my area over the last week, didn’t see a single one. Not enough moisture to drive em up.
nordPosts: 742August 27, 2021 at 4:27 pm #2057158Coming straight down here. Looks like a soaker. Feeling a bit bad for the guys fishing the Bass Tournament. They were scheduled to start coming in at 3.
Glad to hear you’re getting some in the northland! Hopefully it’s a good soaker for a day or two to help with the fires, and catch up.
August 27, 2021 at 6:11 pm #2057181Still coming straight down. I think this is the most rain I’ve had here since I moved in a year ago. Much needed.
August 27, 2021 at 7:17 pm #2057193My rain gauge was emptied yesterday at 1.5in. So far today it is at 4 inches and expecting more.

love that rain gauge munchy……where you get that??????
August 28, 2021 at 9:23 am #2057239had 5″ in the gauge from thursday to friday afternoon, got another 3″ last night, plus water we had from earlier in the week. Easy to say we have received 10″ this week. Going to need to post “No Wake” signs in the yard we got that much standing water.
Neal KeelingPosts: 43August 28, 2021 at 10:17 am #2057251We’ve had about 15″ since Thursday night here in north Iowa. I wish I could send some of it up to the guys fighting the fires.
August 28, 2021 at 10:38 am #2057256The radar looks pretty ugly to the west. If this stays together and heads east they may get help fighting those fires up north.
August 28, 2021 at 11:27 am #2057264Only have had 1/2 inch so far from the last few days.
Forecast yesterday all day was thunderstorms, predicted an inch of rain. Got nothing…
Same forecast for this evening, hopefully we get some.

I had the same one and bought it at hardware Hank. Unfortunately a branch hit it and it busted.
.94″ yesterday and .37″ this morning. I think that brings out total over 3″ this week. Much needed for sure. Glad it didn’t all fall at once too.August 28, 2021 at 3:06 pm #2057312Radar looks like a big storm is currently near the BWCA and the fires. I hope they are getting rain up that way
August 29, 2021 at 9:11 am #20574191.5 inches yesterday. That brings it to 4.6 in the last 9 days. The low spots were squishy this morning and the grass has greened up in most places.
