I’ve officially been waiting for more than 3 months for my finder. I’m assuming that others have as well. How many dollars has Humminbird lost in sales due to not being able to deliver? I’m afraid to say that I’m at the point that I’m almost willing to take anything that I can find in stock.

How much lost business?

I am sure it has hurt sales, but everyone was sold out. Because of that I don’t think they lost sales much with buyers switching brands. Most have been waiting for new stuff to arrive. I went with a solix in lieu of a helix due to a solix being in stock. What model are you waiting for? In MN there were large shipments of locators the end of October. I have a friend that had been waiting since August for a Helix 10+. That unit got here October 27th.

December 1, 2020 at 1:10 pm #1993060I am guessing a lot of business lost. I ordered a Mega 360 in March and I didn’t get it until the end of June. I hope the Mega Live will be available before the end of June next year.
Looks like Bass Pro / Cabelas has some 12’s and they are on sale.
Thanks! That was very helpful!

Apparently, my patience has its limits. lol

Lol yeah I get it, especially with a new rig! Frustrating for sure, but by all accounts the outdoors industry is having a banner year.

Unless they were “Shut down” during the spring ramp up production/inventory season.
Certainly every industry has struggled with staffing this year.
Housing market is well, building is well, yet our customers in fenestration are not ordering as much in peak times, because they don’t have the staff to consume the product, not because they don’t have orders for windows. They just cannot fulfil them.
During and immediately after the MN shutdown, i watched those larger companies like Andersen Windows, toss employees to the curb expecting a major decline in the economy and annual sales. They couldn’t get people back fast enough because things skyrocketed fast. Our company actually took all temp staff and made them permanent before the shutdown to keep food on their tables and insurance. We have generous owners. It took a while for our orders to pick up because many of our customers took the swift ax approach.
I agree with sales being up, but i think the inability to supply is due to staffing shortages, supply chain interruptions, and previous “shut down” of non-essential business.
I was glad i was able to fix my trolling motor early this fall, because ordering a new one wasn’t really a quick option!
December 1, 2020 at 3:43 pm #1993120My Minn Kota arrived right at the 3 month mark. Two downriggers and fish finder are now well over 3 months back order. This just seems inherently wrong with any excuse or explanation.
