100-110 days a year the last 4 years. After moving to the river last fall, 2015 will probably be closer to 140 days fishing (haven’t added it up yet)
I’m pretty sure if all goes as planned I’ll have 200 days on the water in 2016.
Life is terrible
Not sure on the amount of days fishing but I can say it is rare for me not to be on the river any given weekend. Between walleye, catfish, sturgeon, muskies, smallmouth, suckers, hunting, and camping on the river it is rare I miss a weekend on the water.
Ice fishing seems to be less and less the past few years. But I still get 30+ days on the ice.

2 days too many on ice
Not sure on open water, best guess would be 65-75
My first year really ice fishing, and I find myself getting out 1-2x week. But they are entire days, being a slower season for my work. Might try one lake in the AM, then go to another for the evening.
While in summer I tend to hit the shore of the river every day of the week, but might only be for an hour or so BC work is so busy. Goal is usually get the boat out at least 1x week.
At this stage in life, with work, the family, and all the extras I find myself going whenever I can. Falling barometer, rising, cold front, warm, windy, rain whatever.

Might be my worst year ever for winter fishing. I haven’t been on the ice or in a boat since Oct 31st.
But I see that changing very soon!
1. 3 times
2. Around 60
Soft or hard water not enough time on the water.
1. 18 days so far this ice season
2. About 170 days last year.
Last year I about doubled up the number of days I fished in 2014. I got back into ice fishing last winter and I fished out of boat more. My catch rate per trip went way down last year from 2014 and 2013.
1- 0
2- 0
Been a bad year for me….The last time I went fishing was 2/28/2014
Whew, I can top Mudshark, at least!
1) 0
2) Maybe a dozen
Having a young family take a toll on a guy’s hobbies. Things are looking brighter, though, as the kids are getting old enough to partake.
1. 0
2. 40-ish days.
This summer I would like to hit 50 days on open water.
1. 7
2. 25ish.
I don’t know how some of you guys can get 50-100 or more! There’s some saying about “if you want it bad enough, you’ll make it work,” and I’d assume that’s how some of you find your time. If I wanted to fish bad enough, I’m sure I could eliminate some other things in my life (wife…family, working out, dog training, etc) to free up time.
My open water fishing is pretty much done around labor day as fall fishing is completely out of the question for me as I coach HS football and absolutely love pheasant hunting, trying to get out about 3-5 times a week after football ends for the entire season. Every free moment I get is spent with the dog in the field October – New Year.
