I’ll be out Friday but Saturday and Sunday are a toss up I have just portables if the wind is bad no thanks after dark absolutely no. As I get older safer tends to be better lots of bad things happen below zero. A few good bites below zero but not enough to say it was great fishing just curious.

I will be out. Some of our best and worst bites happen in this weather. I wont be able to know which one it is until I get out there.
I work out side all year. Our cut off is 10 below. Many times pushing that. So fishing is ten times more enjoyable then that

Work out side also cold temperatures not a big deal its that dang wind
I’ll try fish before the cold and as long as the cold temp stays cold will normally do okay I think the first day has the most effec on the fish but if it stays cold for more then few days fishing will stabilize

I will still be fishing. I will have to hunker down in the shack if there is any wind.

Saturday–yes in SD. Next week heading to Wisconsin to see grandkids and take them fishing. Supposed to be cold on the 12th and 13th, but we will stay warm in the shack!

We were hoping to do a fair amount of hiking in, but I’m guessing most of our time will be in the Otters outside of the b-dub sad

I’ll be out this weekend. Coldest part will be riding the 4-wheeler to the fishhouse. Doesn’t matter if the fish bite or not still better than sitting in the house doing nothing.

Noooooope! Good luck to those who feel the urge. I am taking a few weeks off to re charge. Been a successful ice season so far, no need to hurt my confidence.
I have had some historical bites during cold fronts but I am sitting this one out!

Cold weather only makes it miserable to set up and pack up. Other than that, I fish indoors with a heater so weather doesnt really matter. If available, snow makes a good insuilation around the shack. Wind sucks and also blows. Wind sometimes requires the bigger sunflower heater. Also, really cold weather seems to make stuff break more.

I’ll be out for the duration. Friday-Tuesday in the skid house, braving the winds on Mille Lacs. It’ll be cold, but not terrible. Can’t catch em’ on the couch!

Ummm yes you can catch em on the couch. Isn’t that what’s in those fancy wheelhouses? You just gotta make room in that skid for a little loveseat!

It actually does matter otherwise what is the point of being out there? I can catch nothing in my own basement watching the super bowl too.

The point is to get out side, enjoy the outdoors and not sit in the house. Many of us enjoy the escape, and thats why we are always out and about

Yeah, I guess you’re right. I’ve got a table & chairs for cribbage beat downs & a bunk that is more or less a couch. That’s where I’ll be! #SkidHouseForLife

Bearcat has it figured out! Anything is better than sitting at home. Only 4 weeks left of walleye season around here & I’m not wasting my free time sitting at home.

Thinking about it, it won’t be that bad lol.

Be in steady -30 without a windchill, just have to hunker down and be smart.

Nope. I have taken advantage of all the previous mild weekends so no reason to battle below zero weather this weekend. If im really lucky we’ll get 4+ inches of snow up north so we can sled.

Bingo! I am perfectly happy to stare at my 2 holes and Helix even if it’s slow. It does however suck to pack up and drag all my gear back to the truck regardless of temps, but twice as bad when its super cold.

I plan to test the new skid house in this cold. Yes, you can catch them from the couch.

That’s a couch I could relax on. That’s a good looking setup Gizmoguy. You can definitely handle the cold there!
