    My Girl.

    Don’t judge me. bawling

No judgement here. When the kid dies after the bees attack? Or another part?

A few others mentioned. Hey, I’m sensitive.

A Christmas Story, when Bumpus’s hounds tear apart the Christmas bird. Gets me every time! D

I did choke up a bit the first time I really listened to Tyler Childers ‘Follow you to Vergie’. That a pretty heavy song.

Like many, the ending of American Sniper gets me in the feels.

Also, I’m not sure how many of you have seen “Inside Out” (animated movie) but it’s about a young girl who moves from Minnesota to San Francisco and has trouble adjusting to her new life (new friends, school, etc). Especially now having a 2.5 year old girl it really hits home.

Having kids changes most people. And as the late Herb once told me… “it only gets worse with age.”

Not a movie, but when I hear the xylophone start playin in Clouds, I always have to compose myself.

Have you watched the movie Clouds? It’s on Disney+ and we are waiting until after my wife gives birth as she doesn’t think she can handle it now.

For me it is LOTS of sports movies – the BIG speech, or the BIG play. I know I could basically write this stuff as they seem pretty predictable, but they still get me.

What an enlightening post. I’m either drawing the world’s biggest blank or I just don’t watch the kind of movies that make me cry. 🤷‍♀️

How ironic,,,,,,,, the only person in the bunch with a “man card” is a girl. jester

To be fair though, I haven’t seen many of these movies mentioned. I did see American Sniper and I recall possibly getting a bit choked up during that one. Overall dramas and feel-good movies just aren’t my thing. I’ve always loved action movies – explosions, fight scenes, guns, aliens and monsters being blown up.

I will admit to once exception – most war movies are too much for me to take and will definitely make me cry. I have an incredible soft spot in my heart for soldiers and servicemen and the extraordinary sacrifices they make.

BK, I used to work with Zach’s dad when Zach was fighting his battle… That song gets me every dang time…

And no way, I’m not watching Marley And Me. Nope not gonna do it. bawling

Yeah I’m with you guys having kids really does change you. I barely watch movies now. But easily get emotional watching tv or listening to certain songs. I did not realize they made where the red fern grows into a movie, I read the book many years ago. About the only book I have read with out having to. It made cry like a bitch at the end. I also refuse to watch Marley and Me.

No hate Andy just heard what happens at the end with the dog, and my buddy had just lost his lab earlier that year he said his hole family was sobbing in the theater.

    Probably a good movie. wave

I have a weird one to add to the predictable ones: The opening 10 minutes of the Star Trek 2009 reboot.

I am not a Star Trek person, the characters are new and minutes old, and it is a freaking JJ Abrams CGI shaky cam popcorn film – go figure.

Ever since having kids I’ve kinda turned into a pussy.

Any movie with kids getting hurt/dying get to me.

    YUP. Anything with childbirth too.

First episode of This is Us. Somehow by incredibly bad timing I ended up watching it while I had twin boys in the NICU just a week or so after a “complicated” birth. Waterworks dial turned to 11.

Anyone here should listen to Cole Swindell’s song – You should be here….

I fish tournaments with my dad and my grandpas brother came to visit us over at lake of the woods. We were all sitting at the bar. I hadn’t seen him in a long time and that dang song came on…. I had to leave the bar for a bit.

Too many memories and him being there got me and wishing the old dude was still around to enjoy it with us.

Damn song gets me every time.

Fair enough, apparently Marley & Me could be close to the top of tear jerking movies if just the warning or rumor of it turns some folks away.

But yes, I understand. When I first watched I had the DVD and my daughter was with me. After it ended, my daughter and myself sobbing made our way to my bedroom where my yellow lab (wasn’t supposed to be sleeping on my bed) and hugged that dog. She just grunted, rolled over and then farted on my pillow…lol.

Certainly the toughest part after watching the movie was knowing well that last day was coming for Sadie & Me. (Which it now since has)…

…now you go and give your lab a big long hug as soon as you can.

Bad news for some guys here………if you have little kids now just wait until they older. You will tear up thinking back on the memories. If this song doesn’t make you want to be a better dad nothing will.

We just watched a movie called “The Impossible”, it’s based on a true story of the 2004 tsunami that hit in southeast asia.

If this movie doesn’t make you get something in your eye there’s something wrong with you lol

“The Last Full Measure” is the true story of a Vietnam vet who personally saved over sixty men and the decades long fight to get him the congressional medal of honor.
It’s on Hulu and I can’t recommend it enough.

I’m not a big fan of country music, but Billy was. And I heard a song today that I foolishly hadn’t expected to make me cry… “Best of Intentions” by Travis Tritt.

    https://youtu.be/tVfJm76cCK4

Billy and I started dating when we were quite young, and admittedly we didn’t quite know what we were doing, learning how to be ourselves and a couple. After a pretty dramatic fight as teenagers, he sent me this song to listen to and I never forgot the gesture. 💔

I just entirely avoid movies that I think will make me cry or tear up, but sometimes I get wrapped into one with the kids. I can’t watch anything these days with kids getting hurt or anything. Also, listening to songs like “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw… forget it. I’m a baby.
