I see that Kyoyo Fujita already has 22 pounds this morning. Livescope must be dialed in already. That’s the only way he can compete.
Michael BestPosts: 1233February 22, 2024 at 9:57 am #2255757I just wonder if Kyoya’s going to have those kinds of fish for all for days.

Depends if the fish slide up. I know they were saying that they seeing a few slide up today already.
Anybody interested in ED’s VR Goggles, I am curious to what model he is using out there.
February 22, 2024 at 11:20 am #2255780See several Local guys are in the top 20. Austin Felix, Pat Schlapper, and Bob Downey. Great seeing the local guys doing well so far from home. It looks like Youtuber Ben Milliken is even having a good 1st tourney. I was interested to see how he would do. So far he looks good. He said he is real new to the forward facing sonar. I’m not sure if I believe him on that. I know some here hate the whole forward facing sonar thing, but I actually like it. Interesting to see the way fish react to the lure as well as how the set up on structure. Seems to be lots of fish really suspending on some of that wood. Be interesting to see if some of those bigger females staging out in deeper water mover into the banks at some point in the next 3 days. A few shallow water specialist seem to be betting they will.
February 22, 2024 at 11:31 am #2255784A really big fish really helps. Bryan New has a 9 lb 6 oz in his limit. That one fish weighs as much as his other 4 combined. In a lake with fish that size, One good bite can really make a HUGE difference.

Jay Pzrekurat is also listed as 10th place. He’s from Stevens Point, WI. I think he was a rookie on the Elites last season and finished pretty high in the final AOY standings.
blankPosts: 1786February 22, 2024 at 11:57 am #2255786Jay was ROY in 2022 and 10th in AOY, including the win at St. Lawrence with the biggest bag of smallmouth ever. Last year he finished 6th in AOY.

Thanks blank. He’s been productive.

The Cheesehead Prodigy is in his third year and will undoubtedly contend for AOY. The best fisherman nobody is talking about.
February 22, 2024 at 3:30 pm #2255827Kyoya Fujita just weighted 31.3. He is well on his way to a 100Lbs. It should be interesting to see how many fishermen end up with more than 20 Lbs. today.
February 22, 2024 at 9:00 pm #2255865Who do you think the worst angler is right now on the elite? Bernie Sanders has got to be a contender.

Bernie Schultz was having an outstanding season last year until he got injured.
February 23, 2024 at 7:45 am #2255879Kyoyo Fujita has instructed the camera man in his boat today NOT to film his livescope screen. He even put a cover on it for a while too. Unreal.

I was wondering about why is cover is on. I heard he is quite shy and secertive. This is also what is making the sport so damn boring to watch, lets see the screens. This is why Milliken is a breath of freash air and doesn’t care what is showing.

Just wait until midsummer when they head north to smallmouth waters. Its 100% livescoping with a drop shot on offshore structure. Unbearable

It would be better to drop the humminbird contract, so we can see all 3 of them like what NPFL shows, atleast then it would be something to watch and learn.
February 23, 2024 at 10:53 am #2255926They are showing a ton of coverage of Various fishermens screens. There is a ton of Information that shows up on those screens that I would not want showed to the world either. Personally I don’t enjoy watching the coverage any less. Like Sight fishing bedding bass some like watching it and others don’t. Its crazy the amount of electronics these guys have on there boats. I counted 6 on various boats. I bet a lot of those boats have over 20,000 in electronics. I remember how happy I was when I made the jump from a 6″ screen to a 8″ one. I’m starting to see some local tourney where they all only fish a single lure type. I think that format is rather interesting.
February 25, 2024 at 9:59 am #2256199Schlapper from WI leading going into the final day at Toledo Bend!
Michael BestPosts: 1233February 25, 2024 at 4:05 pm #2256216Wow I am surprised Schlapper couldn’t hang on.
Walter’s came on strong at the end to push into 2nd.Pretty good cold front hitting lake Fork in the middle of the week.
Hunting24sevenPosts: 102February 25, 2024 at 5:40 pm #2256225Schlappers face during weigh in said it all, he was pissed. Heck of a day and tournament from Kyoya. 2Ws and 6 top 10s in 10 events is an unreal start to his elites career. Will be interesting to see if anyone can stop Livesay from 3 in a row at Fork.
February 26, 2024 at 10:14 am #2256304Great comeback by Kyoya. I thought after his poor day 3 that his fish had moved and he was in trouble for the final day. Good on him for making the adjustment he needed to get the win. Hell of a great start for his elite career. He’s got that forward facing sonar bite dialed in real well. Be interesting to see how many tourney this year where that will be a big factor.
blankPosts: 1786February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am #2256315Quite a showing for the rookies too. 7 of the 10 rookies in the top 21 places, with 2 of the top 5. Should be quite the ROY race this season.
February 29, 2024 at 8:40 am #2256975So far Lake Fork is bringing out a good variety of techniques. FFS may not play as big a role this week.
Michael BestPosts: 1233February 29, 2024 at 9:04 am #2256978They are off to a fast start. 1st place already has over 28 lbs on basstrak
February 29, 2024 at 11:26 am #2257023Crazy event. They already have 28 Bags over 20 Lbs. . Looks like Ben Milliken is for real. Local boys not doing real well at this point. I think Schlapper is the highest in 31st
February 29, 2024 at 11:29 am #2257025Livesay is really struggling at this point. In 2021 he had 45Lbs. on day 4
Walleye Man42Posts: 199February 29, 2024 at 11:48 am #225703029 bass over 7lbs so far with 2 over 10. And it is suppose to get better with the warm up for the weekend.
Dan BakerPosts: 941February 29, 2024 at 11:59 am #2257031Are they releasing all the fish right away for this tournament?
