Wow, Brandon, you’re good! Too good. Yep, 5 is correct. I was hoping that would’ve lasted longer! LOL

I was assuming each elephant saw two different monkeys.

Same here! My first guess was 25 too, then I figured out the trick to the sneaky wording.
DeucesPosts: 5236April 9, 2020 at 1:51 pm #1932372I guessed 11. Not enough substantial evidence that the elephants weren’t going to the river as well imo.
blankPosts: 1776April 9, 2020 at 2:07 pm #1932375Is “going to” the same as “going towards”? It does say “The battle of english and mathetmatics”.
April 9, 2020 at 2:19 pm #1932381I say 1 rabbit the others are assumptions.
As I was driving to the Dairy Queen I saw 2 cars and a truck in the drive through with 2 cars in front of me and a truck behind me should I speed up to pass the cars in front of me to get there first so I can get behind the truck?Over thunk that one by along shot
Comprehension and math are not my strongest quality but a shovel in my hand I can dig a pretty nice whole.8)April 9, 2020 at 2:29 pm #1932384I was hoping that would’ve lasted longer! LOL
Something no man wants to hear a woman say.
sjiPosts: 421riverrunsInactivePosts: 2218April 9, 2020 at 4:21 pm #19324072 is a parrot an animal or a bird?
Hmmm, getting scientific here… Well, a parrot is a bird, and birds are part of the Animalia Kingdom of classification. So they’re animals.

The question specifically asks how many animals are “going towards the river”, but the description says the rabbit saw the elephants while “going to the river”. As such, the only animals actively “going towards the river” are the monkeys.
But what about the parrots you may ask? The description states that every monkey holds 1 parrot in their hands. It doesn’t say that they are actively carrying the parrots towards the river.Additionally, since this is supposed to be a battle of English and mathematics; why is the word “animals” randomly capitalized and why are there three question marks? Perhaps “Animals” is a proper noun and as far as we know, no Animals are going towards the river.

Thesaurus.com says “to” is a synonym for “towards”

B-manPosts: 5823April 10, 2020 at 12:39 pm #1932696This gives me a headache. (3) parrots aren’t animals.
Parrots aren’t animals???
Are they considered a plant then?? Lol
April 10, 2020 at 1:12 pm #1932707Is a fish an animal. No. A parrot is a bird. It has feathers no teeth and lays eggs.
April 10, 2020 at 1:23 pm #1932712Birds, fish, rabbits, monkeys… these are ALL animals. Yes, some are further classified into sub-categories, as there are varying levels of scientific classification, but they are all in the animal kingdom.
Six groups of animals that are considered the main groups are mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.
