The gas line takes too hard of an angle from the filler cap hole to get a syphon tube down it…

Any easy way to take gas line off engine?

Put squeeze bulb on line, extend the line to portable tank on ground and pump few times until gravity takes over. Have a few tanks close to swap out when full.

did you add Yamalube before it sat over the winter?
    if so, go drive around.

Have you considered opening the floor compartment and unscrewing the sending unit. I have an mx2025

Bring it to me, I’ll fix ‘er for you.

I should have her done in October. It may be later depending on how the bite is -err I mean the extent of the problem. I’ll put fresh gas in before you pick it up.

This is the very reason I installed a large pool with a boat ramp in my backyard. When I need to run gas out I just back the trailer in, start the motor and come back in a few hours.

Did it last week. I have a in-line fuel filter downstream of the squeeze bulb. I disconnected the fuel line, three pumps and I had a siphon. Worked beauutifully.

Seems like a lot of work, have you considered the pool + boat ramp technique?

Yes, this is the sensible solution. I just hope you put in a big enough pool so that when your new 28 footer is delivered, it will still fit.

I find it’s better to perform a number of small ugprades when necessary, that’s why I built the pool the EXACT size of my boat. Or at least my first boat, we’ve had the excavator guys back out a few times to increase the footprint.

In a similar vein, I find it best to upgrade houses on a bi-yearly basis as we can afford it and the family grows.

That’s all the financial advice I’m willing to give without taking any of you on as clients though!
